About the Role
Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Merchandising Wine to join our Digital Merchandising team in our Bethesda, MD or Boca Raton, FL office. You will play a critical role in maximizing sales and margin through driving customer engagement for our key business, Wine. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, leveraging a deep understanding of customer behaviors and shopping patterns. As a leader on the Digital team, you will build strong relationships across the organization, leading strategies that put the customer first. You will be at the forefront of company innovation, challenging the status quo, and using analytics to guide decisions. You will report to the Senior Director of Digital Merchandising and Site Operations.
You will
- Develop, influence and execute digital merchandising strategies aligned with cross-functional partners that drive wine growth, customer engagement, capture market share and achieve e-commerce targets
- Identify and surface category opportunities, and ultimately translate them into a vision, strategy, and action plan
- In partnership with Wine Merchandising and Marketing, design compelling, innovative campaigns and content for seasonal planning, new product launches, gifting and premium experiences, and promotional events
- Regularly summarize category and campaign performance on key KPIs to leaders and partners, leveraging analytics to develop actionable insights and opportunities
- Establish a plan to improve conversion and profitable sales of the site through optimization ideas, leveraging our tools and capabilities
- Own the digital merchandising strategy on desktop, mobile site and app with focus on driving category sales, including the visual display of category and content pages, along with key points of navigation
- Lead multiple key merchandising initiatives for Digital Merchandising as the subject matter expert and champion of our customer’s needs
- Be a peer leader and thought partner for Digital Merchandising counterparts
- Lead and develop a team of site merchandisers
- Manage a team of 2: 1 Digital Merchandising Manager and 1 Digital Merchandiser
You will come with
- 10+ years experience in Digital (Merchandising or Marketing), Buying, Category Management or Vendor Management, or a combination
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or a related field
- Proven leadership with the ability to work across disciplines and across many levels
- High energy and passion for challenging the status quo and leading change
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to find solutions by navigating complex systems and processes in a rapidly changing environment, with knack for finding new ways to use existing tools and re-engineer processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to surface and synthesize key actionable insights
- Ability to manage multiple work efforts at the same time and design efficient & effective process and workflow across disciplines
- Experience as a user for key merchandising tools (ex. for search results algorithms, product recommendation, etc)
- Adobe Analytics, Bloomreach Content Management & Search, Rich Relevance, Contentsquare, and A/B testing experience a plus
- Wine industry knowledge a plus
