Associate II, Delivery Accounting & Indirect Tax

About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking an Associate II, Delivery Accounting, Indirect Tax to join our growing Accounting team in our Bethesda, MD office. We are looking for someone ready to master the accounting complexities and reconciliations around our large-scale delivery operations, while also providing valuable indirect tax support. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Indirect Tax. 

You will

• Analyze and Evaluate Invoice Data
• Source raw data to perform Ad-Hoc Delivery Analyses
• Evaluate and Execute General Ledger Reconciliations
• Perform Delivery Sales Tax Calculations & Ensure Delivery Compliance
• Provide Support for Cigar Tax, Property Tax filings, and Indirect Tax Compliance

You will come with

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience
• MBA is a plus
• Up to 1 year of experience in either an Accounting, Tax, or a similar financial analysis role
• CPA certification is a plus
• Experience in Retail or Multi-Location Services is a plus
• Experience working with Marketplace Delivery (i.e.: Instacart, DoorDash, Uber) is a plus
• Experience querying information from an enterprise data system
• Ability to work cross-functionally / cross-departmentally
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Access) & MS Teams
• MS Excel Intermediate – Advanced Proficiency preferred
• SQL / Python is a plus
