About the Role
Total Wine & More is seeking a Manager, Sales & Service to join our Store Operations team in the Bethesda, MD office. This role is responsible for driving in-store sales and service initiatives that support topline revenue growth and margin improvement. This role is accountable for developing, implementing, and optimizing in-store selling programs, procedures, and merchandising standards that effectively drive key performance metrics. The Manager will also lead efforts to establish and maintain consistent, brand-aligned merchandising practices across all locations. In close partnership with the SSC and field teams, the Manager, Sales & Service will spend time in stores to assess performance, identify business opportunities, and implement impactful sales, service, and merchandising solutions. The Manager, Sales and Service reports to the Vice President Store Operations, Sales & Service.
You will
- Work closely with Merchant and Promotions team to develop and communicate merchandising standards that drive profitable sales.
- Craft communications that clearly convey objectives and actions, ensuring alignment and understanding across teams.
- Analyze and synthesize data to guide strategic decisions across merchandising, product development, and selling initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer insights and business goals.
- Produce weekly reports and analysis, communicating key findings in a clear and accessible way to support informed decision-making.
- Influence training, merchandising and promotions teams by delivering data-driven insights that empower smarter, more strategic decision-making that helps us drive WD and SD sales.
You will come with
- Bachelor's Degree Sales, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline, is preferred.
- 5-8 years experience in a fast-paced retail management environment, driving sales and building customer relationships.
- 5-8 years experience in business process management, communications, or sales operations.
- Extensive Wine and Spirits knowledge, enabling high-touch customer experiences and effective sales consultation.
- Exceptional communication skills; written and verbal
- Proficient in working in Excel, Power Point, Power BI or other data systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working cross-functionally with Store leaders and SSC business partners.
