About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Analyst, Store Operations to join us in our Bethesda, MD office. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Store Operations, IT, and cross-functional partners to implement business process enhancements that improve store productivity, reduce costs, and elevate the customer experience. You will serve as a key liaison between the Field and the Store Support Center, leveraging your working knowledge of Total Wine & More's operating and inventory systems to identify opportunities and deliver scalable solutions. Your responsibilities will include translating operational and financial data into actionable insights, developing reporting tools using Excel, SQL and Power BI, and supporting the implementation of technical enhancements—particularly those related to Point of Sale (POS) systems and other store technologies. In addition to leading process improvement initiatives, you will create training materials, support end-user adoption, and contribute to the development of store communications that are clear, concise, and aligned with operational goals. This role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Manager, Store Operations. 

You will

  • Manage daily operational reporting for Store Operations.
  • Develop reports using SQL and PowerBI to translate data into insights for major projects.
  • Troubleshoot custom and third-party software solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage data, collaborate on program enhancements, and resolve barriers.
  • Lead project deliverables including documentation, process maps, use cases, and test cases.
  • Create and deliver process improvements and training to field end-users.
  • Collaborate with Operations, IT, business owners, and field leadership to implement process improvements.
  • Availability to do out of state travel up to 25% of the year and work some nights and weekends when needed.

You will come with

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced skill level in SQL, Power BI & Excel (perform data analysis and report development) .
  • 4+ years reporting analyst experience OR 2+ years of Total Wine & More Corporate reporting analyst experience (Power BI, SQL, SIP, X-Store POS or APEX) OR Total Wine & More Store experience with a recent degree in data analytics (SQL is a MUST).
  • Advanced skill level in SQL, Power BI & Excel (perform data analysis and report development).
  • Business process improvement skills and methodologies (e.g., BPR, Six Sigma, CMMI).
  • Experience querying relational databases using MS Access or SQL.

Pay Range:

$70,470.00 – $114,400.00
