About the Role 

Total Wine & More is seeking a Product Info/Master Data Management (PIM/MDM) Engineer to join our Technology team in our Bethesda, MD office. The PIM/MDM Engineer will support the design, implementation, integration, and ongoing optimization of our Product Information Management (PIM) and Master Data Management (MDM) platforms, with a focus on supporting our Supply Chain and Merchandising teams. We are undergoing a multi-year transformation of our systems and processes, with an emphasis on user experience, scalability, and operational efficiency. This role will play a key part in integrating PIM/MDM tools and providing design guidance, development, and ongoing support and maintenance for new functionality and capabilities. This position reports to the Senior Director of Software Engineering. 

 

You will 

  • Oversee new initiatives as well as the day-to-day operational/technical aspects associated with our PIM/MDM platform. 

  • Develop and deliver best-practice guidance, education, and training for business and IT teams on MDM processes and standards. 

  • Manage projects involving STEP version upgrades. 

  • Review/Suggest the code and suggest the best practices related to coding for offshore development team. 

  • Work as a data engineer along with our data science team for design and implementation of data engineer tasks in Google Cloud platform. 

  • Lead the development/maintenance releases & production support tracks for Product data master (PDM) application. 

 

 

You will come with 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field and 6 years related Product Information Management or Master Data Management and configuration & development experience or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field and 4 years related Product Information Management or Master Data Management and configuration & development experience. 

  • 3-years systems configuration, development experience – attribute and business rule creation, portal development, integration endpoint configuration, and workflow creation. 

  • Technical skills in software development. 

  • Knowledge of RDBMS/NoSQL databases and experience SQL or NoSQL syntax. 

  • Understanding of REST APIs for troubleshooting/analysis pertaining to PIM/MDM integrations. 

  • Knowledge of MDM Product new functionality solution architecture, design, development, Implementation, and production support. 

  • Knowledge of Agile development practices, methodologies, and tools; preferably Scrum. 

  • Functional knowledge in one or more Retail Merchandising/Inventory business applications, is preferred.

Total Wine & More considers several factors when establishing compensation. Compensation may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills and/or experience. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. The exempt compensation range for this position is $175,427-$204,400 annually.  Estimated salaries determined by third parties have not been validated by Total Wine & More.
