About the Role
Total Wine & More is seeking an Associate II, Store Operations who will play a key role in managing in-store hardware and technology across our retail locations. Partnering closely with the IT Department, you'll drive improved utilization of store equipment, develop operational procedures, and analyze system usage to enhance performance and reliability. You'll be responsible for escalating technical issues to IT support and vendors, coordinating installation and upgrade schedules, and ensuring smooth rollout of new technologies. A strong focus will be placed on user adoption, store success, and representing the voice of the stores in IT-driven initiatives. Your responsibilities will include translating operational and financial data into actionable insights, developing reporting tools, and supporting the implementation of technical enhancements. This is an on-site role located in the Bethesda, Maryland office. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Store Operations.
You will
- Build relationships with Total Wine & More store team members, field leaders, and IT partners to ensure successful store execution of projects.
- Understand store team member pain points and escalate issues to IT Support Staff to develop resolutions and prevent in store customer service issues.
- Coordinate rollouts, training, operational policy updates, and communications of multiple IT programs and Store Operations enhancements.
- Promote and coach stores on operational policies, procedures, and best practices regarding use of store technology, systems, and reports.
- Manage daily operational reporting for Store Operations.
- Visit stores to ensure successful store execution.
You will come with
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience
- Less than 1 year Retail management experience, or previous operational support or customer success role
- Solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for customer success, data, technology, and systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel (Text, Logic, and Lookup Formulas, Pivot Tables, Charts).
- Availability to do out of state travel and work some nights and weekends when needed.
